5-year warranty conditions

Congratulations on the purchase of your Hydrokube limescale remover. The quality of Hydrokube units is always excellent. Hydrokube units are renowned for their reliability and durability.

Greenside SA (hereinafter referred to as “GREENSIDE”) warrants, subject to the following conditions, that products marketed by GREENSIDE under the Hydrokube trademark in the European Union (EU) will be free from defects under normal use and proper maintenance during the agreed warranty period. If a product proves to be defective during the warranty period, GREENSIDE will repair it free of charge in accordance with its warranty conditions or exchange it for a replacement product of the same series or for a next similar model.

This action applies only to the above-mentioned devices and does not concern any products or accessories purchased or received in addition.

    1. Beneficiaries of the warranty
      Customers residing in the European Union (EU) are entitled to a 5-year warranty extension on purchases with additional warranty and only if they have registered their product on the www.hydrokube.be/5years website. The warranty extension will only be accepted if the new product is registered within 4 weeks of purchase and the customer sends a copy of the corresponding purchase invoice following registration. The warranty extension only takes effect once GREENSIDE has confirmed the customer’s registration. It is non-transferable and will not be replaced in the event of loss, damage or destruction. The 5-year warranty extension is valid only for end-users and does not apply if the GREENSIDE product is used in industrial applications.
    1. Warranty
      Hydrokube offers a 5-year warranty extension in the European Union (EU) for an additional fee. The 5-year warranty extension consists of a 2-year legal warranty provided by your dealer-installer and a 3-year additional warranty provided by GREENSIDE.
    1. Warranty period: The statutory two-year warranty begins on the date of purchase of the product. The invoice date is decisive. The 3-year warranty extension comes into effect after the 2-year legal warranty.
    1. Asserting warranty rights under the extended warranty (3 years): (1) To assert warranty rights during the extended warranty period, the customer must send the defective product or part to the GREENSIDE service center during the warranty period. The product or part must be accompanied by a copy of the invoice, confirmation of registration for the 5-year warranty, and as detailed a description of the defect as possible. (2) The product to which the complaint relates must be sent carriage paid. The customer also undertakes to bear the costs of sufficient insurance and appropriate packaging of the consignment.
    1. GREENSIDE services (1) Confirmation of product registration for the 5-year warranty extension will be sent by e-mail to the e-mail address you have provided. If you have not received it within six weeks of registration, please contact us. We may require additional information after your registration. (2) In the event of a defect under these warranty conditions, GREENSIDE will repair the product free of charge or exchange it for a replacement product of the same series or for a similar next model. If, when checking the claim, GREENSIDE finds that the warranty claim does not apply, GREENSIDE will draw up an estimate for the necessary repairs. (3) The product may only be returned to an address in the country of GREENSIDE’s after-sales service, which is responsible for processing the warranty claim. If you expressly request that the product be sent to another country, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred. Additional costs may include: additional transport costs, taxes, customs duties, etc.(4) GREENSIDE takes back ownership of any defective products sent which are exchanged for a replacement product; these products will not be returned to the customer.
    1. Warranty exclusions : (1) Defects resulting from one or more of the following events are excluded from the warranty: – intentional or unintentional operating errors (see operating instructions), improper handling of the product or modifications to the product and settings – use of the product for a purpose other than that intended – improper repairs/interventions by third parties not authorized by GREENSIDE – improper storage, use under extreme conditions – external stresses such as dropping, impact, sand, dust, liquids or improper transport – signs of wear caused by particularly high stress when used as intended. (2) If the serial number has been removed or rendered illegible, the warranty becomes null and void. (3) This warranty only applies to new products purchased in the European Union (EU) and supplied by a GREENSIDE sales partner domiciled in the EU. Products which come within the scope of the warranty by other means are expressly excluded from this warranty. (4) Consumables such as the electronic pH meter and its batteries, the calibration solution, the CO2 bottle and its contents are not covered by this warranty. (5) This warranty does not cover adjustment or accuracy performance.
    1. Data protection:
      By registering for the 5-year warranty, the customer agrees to allow GREENSIDE to save and use his/her data for warranty processing. The data will not be passed on to third parties and will be used exclusively for processing your file within the framework of the conditions described here.
    1. Other: (1) This 3-year warranty extension supplements existing legal provisions. This warranty does not affect the customer’s rights specific to the respective country, nor the customer’s rights arising from the sales contract vis-à-vis the seller. If there is no national legislation on the subject, the customer can only refer to this warranty when registering the product. (2) It is not possible to derive from this warranty any other claims which go beyond repair or replacement of the product and which are excluded under the terms of the warranty. These include, in particular, claims for compensation for consequential damage (e.g. loss of profit, replacement of pH meter, replacement of batteries, CO2 cylinders due to leakage, etc.). (3) Guarantees and undertakings given by third parties which go beyond the guarantees and characteristics of the products approved by GREENSIDE are not contractual for GREENSIDE insofar as GREENSIDE has not confirmed them in writing. (4) Should any part of these conditions prove to be ineffective or unenforceable, either in whole or in part, or should they become ineffective or unenforceable as a result of changes in the law, the remaining parts shall remain in full force and effect.
